This year I went with a Racing Beat cat back and "new to me" R3 interior door panels.

How do you like the RB?
Do you have a cat or midpipe?

I like them.. on this car it’s just the cat back and intake. On my Canadian R3 I have their cat back. And on my track car I have both mid pipe versions and the cat back as well. It’s currently setup with the non resonated mid pipe atm. At some point when I have a lift I’ll add the headers to the mix. It’s the only thing that bugs me about California smog laws.

I saw the complaint about Racing Beat Europe and their weld quality. I looked at their display model yesterday and it was the same weld quality.. the hp gain is nothing anyone would notice.. but I do like the sound. And being it’s my daily driver, I don’t want to sound like a teenager.

additional info: this all started because when I imported my Canadian R3 it had the turboxs cat back. That thing was so loud that I thought I had no catalytic converter on. So loud, so very very loud. I needed a cat back so I bought the racing beat version and was extremely happy how it sounded. Then that started me down the path with my other cars. The track car always had a mid pipe but with the OEM cat back sounded terrible at the higher rpm’s. So I eventually got it the cat back system as well. I’ll eventually replace the intake with a racing beat as well. Figured with the RB intake, their exhaust and the duel resonated mid pipe, I can stay under the decibel limit for Laguna Seca.

The RB is mellow and growly. I have it for a number of years now with the dual resonated midpipe. Perfect combo. Loud enough to hear the rotary snarl yet not obnoxiously loud. No rasp nor drone.
