Hey guys want the rx8 really bad but heard the rx 9 is comming soon, dont know what to do are they still going to be selling the 8's when the 9's come out and who knows when the 9's coming out?

 

Thats not a bad thing. Just means the 8 will become limited and more of a collectors item. I know thats not what you wanted to hear....when do you plan on getting an 8?

 

This site absolutely SWARMS with any remotely mazda/rotary rumor/story/delusion/hallucination, and I haven't seen anything to suggest that there's any rx9 coming out anytime soon.

 

collectors item? Have you seen what a year old, slightly used RX8 is going for in the market?

 

With my encouragement my father picked up a 2005 Sport Pkg with 4,000 miles early last summer for $20500. Plan was for him to tire of it like he did the 350Z, then I'd buy it from him this spring. Plan still not working. I posted earlier that his Lexus GS was rarely getting out of the garage anymore, and this remains the case.

So I really need Mazda to come out with a major upgrade to tempt him into a new one. Either that or I'll just have to get my own.

I assume prices are even lower now. Unbeatable value as a used car for anyone interested in one of the best overall chassis on the planet.

As for the RX-9, the rumors I've seen suggest that the RX-8 will continue to be sold alongside it, as the 9 will be a two-seater. Since I have three kids, if they do cancel the 8 there's a very good chance I'll pick up one of the last ones built. So for me at least it would be a collector's item.
