Anyone know of a good place to get the Bosch ICON wipers in Canada? It doesn't seem like any of the places near me carry them and ebay has failed me. This thread has sold me on them and now I want!

Amazon.com carries them. There is $15 rebate on 2 but not sure if it is good in Canada. Do you have a Costco, I think the Goodyear Assurance wipers there are as good as the Icons.

+1! This thread has sold me on them as well! I was looking around and found out that two options exist: 18-inch and 20-inch. Anyone knows which one is better?

Because the 20" one goes on the driver's side and the 18" one goes on the passenger side....

It is common for cars to not have the same length on each side.

Unfortunately Amazon.com wont ship those to Canada and our Amazon.ca doesn't carry automotive parts.
I might check out the Goodyear ones if Costco here has them.

Thanks. I guess I will buy a pair of each and see what works best.

I wasn't clear. You don't need to buy a pair of each. The driver's side is 20" and the passenger side is 18". The number at the end is the length.

The info from the US Bosch site on wipers for the 8.

420A ICON Driver's Side R2 1.3 GAS

418B ICON Passenger's Side R2 1.3 GAS

I found a retailer in Toronto that you can order online from. http://www.precisiontuning.ca/
I just ordered a set, we'll see how it goes!

Proper window cleaning is key to avoid streaks and skipping. Trust me clay your windshield it will make a hell of a difference. BTW im surviving on cheap £3 champion wipers. 1 year on and they work as good as new.

Close but wrong. 20" for drivers and 18" for passenger.

Amazon.com has them with $15 off rebate buying 2. That's the best deal out there. Free shipping no sales tax!

21" fit fine. Pretty sure several people on here have 22"s without issue.

Every time I get an email notification for this thread I think of the movie Coming to America.

Prince Akeem: It is my twenty-first birthday. Do you think perhaps just once I might use the bathroom by myself?

Oha: Most amusing, sir. Wipers!

I use Rain-X wipers with Rain-X liquid. So far so good!

I've found that the rain-x guard liquid stuff makes it to where your wipers don't matter as much. That stuff works wonders. If you haven't tried it you need to.

If you like Rain-X -- try to pickup Aquapel from whoever sells PPG products in your area...it delivers the same results and lasts much longer than Rain X.

Bought mine on Dec 31, 2003 and can report the exact same thing. Plenty of rain, a little snow, but most of its life in a garage (except for work)... Maybe we were just lucky. I'm just now looking to replace my blades.

I just dislike how wipers can hit the edge of the windshield frame if they aren't sized right or even if they are.

Quick question, I live in England and can't find the Icon's anywhere in this country or from any online seller. Since the drivers side in the US is different to the UK, if I bought the 20" and 18" Icons from the US would they be back to front and not fit?

Thanks

Icon's aren't the end all of wipers. I'm sure Bosch makes something similar for the UK. Check out their Web site. Or look for another major brand that makes similar.
