At least that car won a race, which is more than you can say about my favorite six wheeler:

to the OP
I have an 08 bmw in the drive way, guess what keys I grab in the morning to go to work, not that set. guess how I met my current girlfriend, at a stop light she looked over and said sexy car, went from there. I have NEVER recieved a compliment on the roundel, not ONE at all. and the other day I watched a porsche caymen struggle to keep up on a large highway sweeper, their skid-pad numbers kick our *****, but you always have to remember the driver mod.
the magazines have pro's in our cars

I'll give up .2G in some far off magazine skidpad comparo for a piece of *** any day.

If any of you guys have seen my posts about the 8's handling you know how I feel about it...but here I go again.

The 8 would have taken the M3 in the "Best handling" car comparison if it had more/better power delivery...that is to say that yes the handling of the 8 is EXCELLENT...even stock. Sure you can make it a little better with some mods, but you really don't have to. Alot of drivers may not even know how good the handling is...at least not until you have driven a fair number of it's competitors to have a decent comparison...and have driven your 8 on the edge enough to truly know what it can do.

I had my 8 for four wonderful years before upgrading and I tested ALOT of cars while trying to find a suitable replacement...S2K, G35, G37, 350Z, Crossfire, Solstice etc. Nothing felt the same...or was as satisfying as the 8...until I drove the Z4...so I bought the M coupe (had to have the extra power!). Similar to the M3 the 8 and the M coupe are not even in the same price range and that is what makes the 8 even more amazing. The assumption is that a $30k car would have to cut ALOT of corners...not so.

The whole point of the 8 is to be an extension of the driver...and that's exactly what it is. It is an outstanding piece of automotive engineering. RX8 owners are spoiled and many of them don't even know it...I know I didn't.

LOLOLOL!!! Alfy that was AWESOME!!

Okay to the OP: If you don't your car handles well you either don't drive well or don't have anything else to compare it to.

Why I love this car is last weekend I was at a Porsche club skills day and Everyone came up to me and wanted to know about MY car. Guys in Porsche turbos, Caymen S's, Vette Z06's, Lotus Elises, 911's out the yingyang. And the instructors LOVED riding in my car and could not believe how well it handled, cornered, and how quickly it could brake over and over again. I loved it and everyone else did too. Instructors would line up to ride with me through the slalom and autox sections because of how much fun it was.

And here are a few good reviews to give you some perspective:
