I AM 6'8" AND DRIVE MY 8 DAILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!with red hair too

 

I'm 6' 7". If you don't believe me ask Erick (Easy_E1) or Jeff (MazdaManiac), they've seen me in the flesh

I have to recline the seat, put it all the way back, steering wheel all the way up. I'm actually pretty well proportioned bewteen torso and leg lengths. I only have a 38" inseem.

Yeah I had a look after my last track day and I cant see a way of doing it. If you know a way I would LOVE to know!

 

it actually fits well for tall people. Its funny because i mini also fits for tall people. i wish the 8's steering wheels tilted up higher though. It would make life much easier. I loved the car too much to not get it!

How the heck do you find a pair of jeans for yourself? I have a 36 inseam and sometimes have trouble finding even those

 

Lower would be great but I highly doubt it. I am currently resigned to the fact that I am going to have to get either Buddy club or Bride seats with Bride super low rails.

At 6'4" with a 34 inseam, that seems to be a perfect fit if my hair isn't out of control!

I may have helmet trouble when it comes to race time...

And neither is shopping for my size 18 shoes. Being tall can suck

 

if you would have size 17s (which i have) i would recommend the puma speed cats. they are relatively cheap for a big shoe and they have a very small sole for driving. i use these everyday. 18s are pretty damn big, but not 17s. 17s are hard to find but 18s are impossible. god i hope i dont get any bigger (i am only 16).

 

Im about 6' even and have no problems whatsoever being comfortable in my 8. Then again, I only weigh 130lbs, so I dont take up much space horizontally, but I do alright from top to bottom as well, no complaints.

 

I'm 6' with 32" inseam. My faux hawk hits the roof when I get excited. And now you know why I don't have an RX-8.

 

I'm 6'-7" and I have a 36" inseam and I fit pretty well and the longest trip I've been on was 5 hours in that car.

 

5'7" and i fit in jusssssttt rriiiggghhhttt.

 

6'7" drive it every day with the seat all the way back and slightly reclined. No complaints about headroom. I do feel cramped on longer drives. I drive to Madison, Wi from Champaign, Il about twice a month (approx 240 mi each way).

 

"Only" 6-foot-2, 220 lbs. and fit just fine with seat back fairly upright, sunroof yes.

 

So far the tallest person is 6'9"! Wow.

 

In our SCCA region we have a 6'5" guy with a non-sunroof RX8 who fits fine with the helmet.

 

I have to kinda doubt a 6' 9" person will fit in the 8. I'm 6' 7" and it's a serious stretch. It's mainly due to the steering wheel- it doesn't go up enough. I know if I got any taller and I don't think I would fit- comfortably at least.
A 6' 9" person CAN fit, but it would be hella uncomfortable. Not to mention they couldn't fit in a sunroof-equipped 8, garranted, because I can't, and I'm 2" shorter. No helmet would fit on them, either, and headroom would be pretty slim, because if I hit a bump my noggin taps the ceiling.

 

I'm just going by what one person posted. I guess we can make that person stand next to a measuring stick and post the pic.
