Apparently the first RX-8 delivered in the US can be had if you really want it.

When I made a RX-8 owners map, I found "Delivery data" of the member of this club with this board.
but many members wasn't describing the delivery day.
For example, I heard delivery data of "Lock & Load" for the first time by this thread.

I waited a month afterit came out b/c none of the dealerships down here were allowing test drives until August so I ended up buying mine on August 27th 2003. Missed the free 50,000 mile warranty service and $500 card by a single goddamn day. I wonder where all those returned Rx8s REALLY ended up going back to.

 

If the dealer have not stuffed up my order I would have got that in Aug 2003 but I got mine Oct 2003.

There were only 10 other RX-8 at the time and now 400+! (in Melbourne)

 

might not be one of the originals BUT i was the first in the UK owners club to get a Strato Blue RX!!!!!!!!

 

Its sad how a little over a year ago I felt like Iwas driving an exotic car whereas today I see at least 5 Rx8s on the road each day.

Did all the paper work on 7-12-03; had to wait for the service department to check it out and took delivery on 7-14-03.

 

Is that a euphemism for the owner of the dealership taking his first RX-8 out for a Sunday drive on 7-13-03? :D
