Looks as if we will be carrying extra batteries for the keyfob remote!!

 

there is every indication (at least from the pictures I have seen) that there is no key lock on the passenger door. makes sense to me.

Quite possibly a right-hand drive vehicle.

 

I haven't used a keyhole in years! (I think there's a joke in there somewhere). ALWAYS use the keyfob.

 

Never payed attention to that one before... good call Gyro.
While I haven't used my key in nearly 2 years it's still kinda nice to have there I guess. In a way it's kinda insurance that if the battery where to die then I would have a backup way to get in the car.
tribal azn, how long have you had your bimmer and have you had to replace your battery in your fob?

 

I've got a keyless entry system on my current car.. I think I have used the actual key to unlock the door maybe three or four times ever.

I've had the car since late 1997 -- about 5.5 years, and the key fob hasn't had any problems yet, and I use it to lock and unlock 2-3 times per day, on average.
