i have no spoiler, but the way i close my trunk is using the U-shaped striker and forcing it down.

 

I've had my tail lights crack from this before, I don't know if it was from the previous owner or me, because I had the problem just when I got the car.

Dealership replaced them at no charge to me, but they told me to be very careful when shutting the trunk for now on, I just use the that little indention inside the trink to close it, I bring it down almost all the way and slide my hand out then put my palm on the edge of the trunk and push it down the rest of the way gently.
