I was wondering if when my RX8 breaks in, will it get quicker . . .

I noticed with my last couple of cars, as they get 3000 miles, somtimes 4000 miles, they seem to loosen up and get quicker as they break in.

I was wondering if you guys that have a few miles on your cars have noticed this or not . . .

Don't get me wrong, the car with 470 miles feels quick . . . but do I have more to look forward to :D

 

Yes, it does seem to improve. But I'm not sure HOW much, as I keep adding things to it... like the CanZoomer Stage 1... :D

 

I now have a totally stock MT GT. It gets faster. As it breaks in the clutch response smooths out and the engine definitely improves. Oh and the gas mileage does get a little better.

 

7K miles and still completely stock, and yeah... she's definitely loosened up a bit (in a good way). Faster now than when brand-new.

 

I agree. I'm at just over 4000 miles on the odo and it seems a little quicker, etc. and I have noticed a dramatic increase in fuel efficiency. But then again, I did strategically place a few decals on the doors and hood, each gauranteed to add 5hp at the wheels. (and you guys thought canzoomer provided inexpensive hp):D

 

Which decals did you get? The ones I put in kinda disappointed me and only gave me half the hp I was looking for. And my gas mileage actually got worse. I am thinking about taking those stickers off so I was looking for good replacements.
