Whats your Fastest Corner?
HAHA, P7, I live literally just out of frame of that picture, a bit futher north on 107th. I know that intersecion well though, right by MDC on Killian, the turnpike extention.
Man Ive had some fun on those ramps before!
My fav, on ramp though is getting onto the snapper creek expwy. from US1, third gear all the way up the ramp, 4th gear on the downhill... WEEEHAW!

Haha, I live about 5mins away from that section. And I past by there at least every other day for work.. Since I take that expressway to Dadeland mall. And it's weird that I haven't seen your 8 either.. Since it's one of the unique looking ones..
Dude you wont just see me, youll hear me too
We should meet up sometime just to talk ****... I always enjoy meeting fellow 8 owners. If you got some spare time and wanna get a sub at Hungry Bear or something, lemme know!

the winding roads in west chester.....off ramps on I-95 for the newtown bypass (near philly) i can take it at 94 mphand itll go more than that but its on the limiter in third and ill neevr upshift midcorner so ill enevr kno how fast i can really take it.
the cross over of route 1 in oxford valley and the entrances to i-95 above it are like a four leaf clover and they connect completely so i run thru those late at night....

People like you make insurance rates so high. If morons like you weren't already paying for my insurance discounts through your taxes, I would find you and demand a check.
Thats terrible man... whats worse is it sounds just like an above post, minus the tragic ending.
I wont say Im a saint and have never hit tripple digits, but I only ever put MY OWN life at risk. I never do it with anyone else in the car, or with anyone else in sight on the road. If I die, its my own damn fault, and Im not taking anyone with me.
ther is a long uphill onramp here in jax that connects our perimeter to 95 north, it starts going up hill curving to the left and continues into a downhill. its a lil over 3/4 of a mile long and there is a clear line of sight from start to finish. the max speed was like 115 goin into the straight at near the end of the turn but i kept it at about 93 till i was goin down hill. I love this car.

In a way I feel that way, but then I think about who I would leave behind, cause thats who it really affects.
There is an almost unused entrance way to the Long Island Expressway which serves as an exit from the Woodbury Corporate Office Park where I work. First, there is a short curved stretch, beneath the Expressway overpass, followed by this really stiff-curved arc of a road leading to the onramp. Both are left turns. It is not the slightest bit banked, but you can stuff your foot in it at high revs for the first turn and continue ramping up the speed going through the second without so much as a wimper from the car. Done right, you then have to slow down very quickly before the approach on the Expressway- after all, we don't want to enter the right lane at 90 MPH.
Do we?
Do we?
The driver had 2 previous accidents... With anyone under 21 they should take your driver privileges away with infractions for 3 months at a time and have you take a road safety course.
I myself have barely pushed my rx8 to any type of limit. And I've only had it about a month... I'm currently looking for a driving/racing course where I can take the car on a track and find its limits, learn how it reacts and recovers in wet/dry conditions etc.
I went into the office today, and the office park has this great set of 3 corners right in a row... nice thing about Saturdays, is the place is virtually deserted. So I was finally able to really push my car to a new limit and I got a bit of tire sequel on the last turn

Went above 70 mph in a loop road connecting to the expressway. Had to dodge some cars in the process. Sorry it wasn't a corner though. Pretty fun if I don't say so myself..
For those who want to picture it.. Here's the road on google map. Maybe some in the area have been on it.. Click here!

But the On ramp on 117th is child's play compared to S. Bound on the Turnpike, exiting to 836http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...,0.011458&z=16
Over the years this car gets more and more dangerous for people to own and I'm sure there's a shitload of you who already know this. You've accepted the lack of straight line performance found in similarly classed sports/sporty cars (unless you solved that with $$$$$$ and went the F/I route), and have learned to get your kicks from the car's handling abilities instead. You may have given up wasting your rubber from stoplight to stoplight and redlining through every gear on the highway like all the other morons on the road, but that doesn't conceal the fact that you've gotten more and more conditioned into plowing through turns, tight corners, winding roads, onramps...and even intersections...at faster speeds than you ever dared in the past. The habit of relying on DSC to save your asses has left you in so many close calls where you had your fingers, toes, and ********* crossed that you've lost count. Yet you keep pushing it to the limit since you're still here in one piece posting on this thread.
