Parts... that's where the money is. More vehicles on the roads means a higher theft rate for that model. I hate to believe that there are people out there who would steal a car for it's parts to make a profit from it. What's this world coming to?

Since the RX8 isn't as common as a Z or Mustang or Vette for that matter, I wouldn't think the theft rate would be that high. I worked in NYC for a Honda dealership at the height of "HondaMania" and boy did we recover a lot of stripped Accords and Civics.

A stolen RX8 would be alot easier to locate than a Taurus or SUV.

I had the same concerns before I bought my 8, even looked into a LoJack system (the service isn't even available in this state!), but then realized I had the only 8 for miles!

Vandalism, for sure should be the biggest "negative" concern you should have to worry about. Enjoy your 8!

I read on this board that someone had his 8 parked on an airport and when he got back, someone had broken in and stolen the an (two?) airbag.
