That feeling never goes away. I will have had the car for a year next month, and it still puts a smile on my face when I see it, and a grin when I drive it.

The feeling may fade a little over time, but it's renewed each time someone gives you a thumbs-up & a grin, or yells to you "Nice car"... and believe me, that happens QUITE often! I've had my gorgeous Titanium 8 since August 2003, and I have an experience like this nearly every day!

It's tough to act modest when parking the car. You know everyone's looking, and you feel like maybe you should take a bow. Getting into it's even better. People will already be looking at the car as it sits in the lot, and when you walk up and get in, man, that's a great feeling.

It's as predictable as the sunrise. I've had the car for six months now and everytime someone casually "checks in" and says "how you likin' that new car?" ... a GRIN from ear to ear hits my face. Heck just thinking about it makes me grin. It's a fun car, a unique car, with plenty of power, and acceleration that's good enough to easily satisfy me... and as they've pointed out above, it's a looker. Congrats and post those pix soon. You've made what I'd consider to be a darn good choice in cars.

Congratulations! I know you'll enjoy it!

It's funny, when I first got the car, I couldn't go a day without someone saying something nice about it, or seeing someone rubbernecking as I drove by. That all quit almost completely over the winter, but now that spring/summer is here, it's starting up all over again!

I guess people just don't even want to see a sports car in the winter. ?? I thought people were just getting used to seeing the car, or others, but it seems to have been totally related to the change of seasons.

You know I must admit this is the first car of many (C5's,Bimmer.Porsche-older) but this is the first car that almost everytime I am somewhere someone comments or checks out the car and or gives a thumbs up!

So tell us how you got out from the truck. Wasn't it you a few days ago that said you were upside down in the truck but wanted out?

Congrats, and welcome to the Club.

Make sure to PM Meowloud, as they are looking to start a regular RX-8 gathering in Chattanooga.

1 year and 16k miles Later I still love to see my 8. Even though gas is getting expensive, I am so glad to have my 8 than anyother car on the current market..

Damn Good Choice!

Keep it good looking ; )

okay, I've torn myself away from it long enough to post. Yes that was me crying about how upside down I may have been. Fortunately for me the dealer here had 14 8's and hadn't moved them like they wanted, AND they had a used buyer looking for a Hemi (damn...the luck), so I got the car at invoice and only lost a couple k on the truck. I did o-tay....My sales guys was pretty lame. He never tried to close the sale. But the sales manager at Epperson worked his *** off for me, and I am very thankful for that.....he rocks.....

I just can't get this little boy shitty grin off of my face....people are speeding up and slowing down just to get closer to it. I've never seen anything like it......I'd swear from the reactions I was driving a new Porche GT.......

What a HUGE switch from the truck. Hell, even with the milage some are getting, it's still twice what I was getting in the truck (9 -12 gallons per mile).

Gotta go get milk......I think the closest store is at least 60 miles down the street...........later......
