they replaced both sensors under warranty. you might have a bad sensoe and thats causes the blinking tpms light. my sensors stopped transmitting data to the computer. it took the dealer 3 visits of me complaining to finally do something about it. they fixed the first one and a month later the second one went bad.

How weird. I called two dealerships this morning and both of them told me to raise the pressure in my tires to 35 psi to see if that stops it from blinking. If not, to make an appointment for it to be looked at to see if one or more went bad, which they both said is really unusual. I am assuming it could be from the one I had the flat on. They put a metal cap on it when they fixed it instead of my original which they "couldn't find" anywhere. So, I ended up buying some regular plastic ones from the store to put on all four valve stems so that they all match. The metal one wasn't on there more than two weeks tops and this was a few months ago, so I don't think that would have caused it this much later.

I asked my stepdad if I could borrow his portable air compressor (again) to put air in my tires this morning. He told me to go to Les Schwab and get them to do it, the same people who royally screwed up fixing my flat tire. So, I think this means I need to go get a ton of quarters and go to the gas station since I don't trust Les Schwab for a thing at this point. If I tell them to put 3 more pounds in my tires I'd probably get 30 more.

Don't put it up to 35 psi...its a problem with the sensor. A problem with Air Pressure is a solid TPMS Light. A blinking means there is a malfunction with the system...says it right in the Manual. Lie to the dealer and tell them you did it and it still comes back. Over inflate the tire to 35 and you'll screw up the whole characteristics of the car and wear your tires more in the middle...its only 3 more then recommended but you should always follow the recommended...I'm actually running around on like 28 right now without a problem...was at the track a few days ago. It's most likely a intermittent failed sensor that needs replacing.

That's what I think, but this is a new service advisor who really irritates me with his less than friendly people skills. When I got a flat tire it was solid and would beep at me. At that time the pressure was somewhere around 27. My sensor started blinking on Tuesday and the air was 28.5, 29, 29, 36 (the one the idiots fixed that had been flat) at that time. I put it back up to normal and it still keeps doing it, so I think a sensor is messed up, too.

I suppose I can always call them bright and early Monday morning (when a different service guy is there) and tell them I put it up to 35 like they said and it still kept blinking, so I put it back down to the pressure that should be in there and that it is still blinking.

Well, I called back and told them it still did it with the extra air, so I put it back to the normal AFTER reading in my manual that if it blinks there is a malfunction. The guy goes "well, yeah." I have an appointment to go in on the 4th to have it checked out. They think a battery may be dead in one of them.

the reason they are telling you they did nothing is that they don't want to admit that they screwed up ...........

I know that. LOL When I talked to them on the phone a couple days ago I mentioned that to them, too. I told them I had a list of problems and now most of them are fixed, while being told there was "nothing wrong with your car." The guy is all "We never touched......." and was getting angry. I told them somebody did something because it was fine, then it wasn't, and now it was soon as they had it again. I have had my car long enough (eight months) to know what is normal for it and can tell when something changes. It's not like I'm oblivious. I'm actually more obsessive. I told them I wouldn't have been upset if they would have said they found something wrong and fixed it, whether it was their fault that caused it or not, such as forgetting to tighten something (my spark plug) or whatever. I just want to be kept informed. I don't like the fact that their story is "nothing wrong" and talking down to me. It makes me wonder what else they did/didn't do that they said. People screw up stuff all the time. Take responsiblity for it, admit it, and fix it. It's pretty simple. That puts you in a much better place in my eyes than covering up stuff. Maybe some people don't like it, but I'm quite understanding. I don't think they would have deliberately messed up something, so it would fall into a mistake category.

The service has always been great all the many years my family has gone there, so this may just be a fluke thing. If it keeps up I may be rethinking that and looking for a new place to take my car. I just know I don't like the way the new service advisor acts and I'm going to make sure to mention it when I get my survey.

they probably think (as many mechanics do with women) that you don't know much about cars so they can get away with it .
However - admitting they told a porky or were wrong is even harder for them to do than admitting they screwed up.
