Hey all, new to the forum...

I have a stock 05 rx8. I am adding
- body kit
- custom fenders
- lambo doors
- killer wheels

I understand the stock rx8 has 18 inch rims. Way too small. I would like to replace them with 20inch wheels.

Some say this will decrease performance. Is this true? Should I drop to 19 inch?

Will 20 inch work on the rx8?

 

have a look around in the wheels forum. there are some people who have 20s and have asked the question about performance, fender rolling, etc. with 19s and 20s.

if you want way to small get 14" rims.

20" rims are ridiculous. and unless you are some ghetto wannabe, wanting to roll on 20s, wait no. thats not even a reason. thats just stupidity.

 

I dont think so. I have seen RX8's with 20's and it looks really nice. Fills in the wheel well nicely.

 

ah no, 20's is just a size, related it to "ghetto wannabe" is childish. And to answer the question yes 20's fit BUT it depends on the wheel/offset/width etc. and yes they will effect performance, it's alot more weight at each corner of the vehicle, you'll def notice a difference.

I think Im sold on the 20 inch. Still need to think about it a bit more.
