What did you do with your RX8 today?
Calculated my mileage from one tank after replacing the BHR Ignition set, and went from 18.25 mpg to 22.4 mpg. The car obviously needed new ignition parts and you can really hear the difference when it starts up. I can't feel any difference in idling from OEM, as it was pretty smooth before, however it does have a little more jump when you open it up on the highway.
installed LED parking, side markers, front(white)/rear(red) turn bulbs. Had to add resistors to the turn bulbs, and did the fog light mod. Getting ready to break out the claybar and detail kit this weekend and maybe start the rim paint job, painting all non-front facing surfaces black on 40th AE rims, and thinking of changing caliper color to gold instead of the red (we'll see).
Plugged in OBD2, I didn't use it but I did plug it in.
Tried to remove the muffler but the bracket holding it to the rest of the exhaust was rusted shut so that didn't work.
Replaced front badge with black evil. Bored holes in airbox and glued the OEM badge to the top of it.
Used a zip tie to keep the quarter panel and bumper from separating.
Fairly successful day.

After 10 years of ownership, I traded my RX-8 in on a new BMW M235i. I couldn't be happier. The 8 was a great ride, but I can't deny the fact that I'm really enjoying the huge boost in power along with much, much better MPG. And it's comfortable. Very, very comfortable.
