That's a good one!!! I ordered Winning Blue because it was the color I liked best. I wasn't about to order Phantom Blue sight unseen and I'm glad I didn't. It's got too much green in it for me.

Titanuim all the way! I love the way it changes from grey to a purpley blue. My other fave is Velocity.

It's all really such a shame, nobody can get the best color anymore. As featured in numerous PBS and Discovery Channel documentaries, Shinka Black Cherry is the fastest, best handling, and its exhaust smells like lilacs.

The only advise I can give you is see all the colors in person before buying, if you haven't ready. Color on the monitor and on the brochures can have a different hue or can look different if you see it in a large area.

I thought I wanted Winning Blue until I saw it parked side by side with VR. The VR made my heart do flip-flops. The blue was merely pretty. Plus, the VR had the black/red interior which looked awesome.

2004's are faster then 2005's...faster trips down to the dealer to get reflashed...and reflashed...and reflashed...

Silvers are the fastest...on the back of tow trucks...

Yellows are the fastest...the fastest produced, sold, then discontinued because they sold so fast...

Greens are the fastest... in the dealerships when the salesmen come running to you because they have so many of them left on the lots...also the fastest discounted...

Reds are the fastest...when sitting still in the parking lot with all the cute chicks oowing and ahhhing...also when you see flashing blue lights behind you...

Titaniums are the fastest...except with OEM tires on in .0001 inch of snow...

Blue's are the fastest...from gas station to gas station...

Whites are so slow, they couldn't even get built on time and are a year behind the rest...

Blacks are really the fastest...but only at night when no one can see them...

2006's are the slowest because by the time they get here it will be 2007 ...

Auto's are the fastest because you don't have to put down your hamburger and coke to shift...

shinka's are so slow, it takes half a day to make up thier mind what color they really are...

Galaxy greys are really sunlight silver's that were in the factory fire and they couldn't get the silver buffed out...

I agree with the fact that black cherry mica is by far the best and fastest color and looks the most amazing with 10 coats of zaino on it... but I don't really want to try and keep it clean and polished, I saw one today that got rained on and it just didn't stand out, the color is too subtle to stand out without tons of care, same as the nordic green I bet.

Sad to say, I have to agree with that. Fortunately, I'm the relaxed type who doesn't mind if it's not looking its best all the time.

And the lilac really smells nice.

Not really, she had a music video with one, but she doesn't own one. She owns a Ferrari Enzo though - I guess I'll cross that car off my short list.

Yeah, I've seen a few black cherry shinkas in parking lots. I always think that they are black and just need to be washed. The green I looked at on the dealer lot just looked like black but with a little bit of sparkle with the metallic flakes. I'm sure it was pretty washed and waxed.

Two weeks ago I saw my first Shinka that was actually out driving around on the road. It was a rainy day. The car looked terrible!!! Looked like dirty black. I don't think they kept it very clean, either. The one I had seen in the showroom months ago looked really nice and clean and shiny. It was such a difference it was hard to believe it was the same car (not literally the same I'm sure).

IMO color is a VERY personal thing....each individual has there own feeling on what color does it for themselves....I picked the shinka for several reasons, not just the color....

when I choose any car, I look at the entire package that it offers....but given how I feel about the rx8.....I think all the colors are nice, there really isnt a bad choice with any of them

the rx8

It's true. It's like that Seinfeld where he's dating this girl who, depending on the light, is beautiful or hideous. I'm going to keep mine nice, by the way.

Like the Hobbits in LOTR - "They come in colors?"

Black it's not really a color more like a way of life.

Get yellow. It turns heads (whether they want to look at it or not) and it'll be months before you see another one on the road in your area.

Oh wait, that's right..
