So i threw in a syncro saver and today i realized that i can go into reverse with out pushing down on the shifter?!!!!

did i put the shifter in wrong?

 

Did you remember to install that triangle metal piece that holds down the shifter?
That piece is what has the physical hard stop on it.
Remove the center console again and see how the tab on the shifter looks next to the hard stop (or take a pic so we can see it).

 

well i put in the syncro saver....witch includes removing the triangle????

 

I never installed one before, but I just saw a pic of it installed.

EDIT: Looks like that triangle piece is still there.
It looks like a small arch on the right side of the shifter.

 

ohhh man im a roooockieee, i read the instructions wrong, im always just so about getting a new part in i don't read everything carefully!!!


thanks for the help problem is fixed

also those that have problems with there gears grinding i would really recommend the redline HEAVY shockproof gear oil.... unless you drive in the winter and temps are below 20f.
