It only got to the finals because it was flashier than other cars, they just didn't think a stockish looking E36 M3 or MR2 would help them sell videos like the Vivid ( ) RX-8 would. The whole thing is a joke and it's not at all about the best or fastest cars, it's about what's going to look good on the
