The same thing happened to me, you need to get your brake pads changed. Eventually they will rub and grind and make a horrible noise every time you use your breaks. You should get them changed before all that happens

well when my brake pads were bad, it was the E-brake light staying on, not the ABS. But if you just changed your brake pads, i dont know what to tell you

Check your brake fluid level. Check your brake fluid level. Check your brake fluid level. Oh, and BTW, check your brake fluid level.

Like it's in the owners manual:

Parking brake warning
The light comes on when the parking brake is applied with the ignition switch in the START or ON position. It goes off when the parking brake is fully released.

Low brake fluid level warning/Electronic brake force distribution system warning
If the light stays on after the parking brake is fully released, you may have a brake problem.
Drive to the side of the road and park off the right-of-way.

Low brake fluid level warning
You may notice that the pedal is harder to push or that it may go closer to the floor. In either case, it will take longer to stop the vehicle.
1. With the engine stopped, check the brake fluid level immediately and add fluid as required (page 8-14).
2. After adding fluid, check the light again.

Maybe they bled the brakes wrong, or they just need bled. It is general maintenance every 30k anyways. Also check for leaks maybe.

That brake fluid level thing is very tricky with the RX8. If mine's in the min and max, but low, it will still come on, and if I over fill it, it will come on. I have to keep it RIGHT below the max line or it starts coming on.

I had this issue start on me and what the problem was was that the float that was inside the brake fluid was stuck and they just had to unstick. Problem solved.

^^^ I've had it caused by both- the break fluid float and brake pads.
