Hello all,
We're planning a feature story around certain cars, one of which is the Mazda RX-8. Here's where you come in.

We're hoping someone out there has a clean, unmolested, reasonably stock example that they'd be willing to bring to Michigan sometime in the coming weeks for the story. We'll provide track time, lunch, and--most important--coverage of you and your car in the magazine. General wear and tear will not be covered. Eligible cars (mostly stock) are all 2006 and 2007 trims, but only the Sport trim for 2008. Photogenic colors (i.e. red, blue) are also good but not totally necessary.

I'll check back here for any follow-up posts in the coming days, but you can also send me a PM if you think your car is what we're looking for.

Dang my luck! I actually work in Ann Arbor (I often cruise the CD parking lot on Hogback just to see what's hanging out). But I've got a stock '04 Think anyone would know the difference???

NO AUTOMATICS - our 8 is slow enough as it is....

 

I'd do it, if I didn't have a few scratches on the front bumper mixed with a small dent on my hood.

Plus, I have one of the most unpopular colrs of the 8

 

I'm interested, I have a 2006 Copper Red Shinka. Does that qualify?

 

2009 Velocity Red Sport with 800 miles on it.
This would give me a chance to break it in too!

 

Alas, 2009 is not within 2006-2008

 

got a feeling theyre doing a used car special again I saw a good article about used sports cars last year in C&D

for sure. my 06 is stock except for interior (re: door, map and dome) lights are blue now.

Tell you boss man, Eddie, that his buddy Weber has an '06 Copper Red Shinka for the feature. And maybe when we do the story, we can hit-up a bunch of the aftermarket guys for some upgrades under the pretense of another C and D project car! Don't forget, the magazine has an amazing history with rotaries (go ask Bedard about the RX2) that must be sustained.

When is the coming weeks? I would love some free track time to push the 8, but I doubt I can get the time off.
