Vividracing.com prices

Is their price for the Veilside VS D1-GT Front Bumper good?

They want $680.00. Seems like a good deal to me. Unless I can get it cheaper elsewhere..

Search the board on their rep. For some reason I'm thinking they did not have the best rep here but I'm not 100%. There are probably vendors on this board that could hook up as well.

Like Japanparts.com?
I do plenty of searching..it's just hard to find specific questions sometimes. I'm working with a limited 20 year old budget, and I'm going to pay for everything out of my own pocket. So not getting ripped off and getting the best deal is key.

If it's authentic Veilside, it's a great price.

Japan Parts is great but their shipping is expensive.

Vividracing is alright, I have ordered a bunch of parts from them, their shipping can be tricky. When I bought my Seibon hood from them they didn't advertise how much the shipping was and then charged me almost $200 for shipping. Find out if you can how much the total cost shipped will be.

It's not that their shipping is tricky, it's that vendors will hide their profit in the shipping cost. That example is one of many that RX8 owners local to vivid have had to deal with. You'll get suckered by a great price and then pay loads in shipping. In the end, you're not getting a deal at all.

I would highly suggest looking into another vendor. I don't want to go into more detail than that but I would stick with a vendor that has a long track record of serving RX8 customers well.

Vivid is an authorized VeilSide dealer.

This is a GOOD thing.

I highly suggest buying the bumper from one of the authorized VeilSide vendors.

I can't tell you how many times I get the sad phone calls because a customer got ripped off by "shop X" places pretending to sell REAL VeilSide parts.

FYI - a $200 shipping charge for a hood is sometimes not out of the ordinary.

I've had no issues dealing with Vivid. Don't be afraid to wheel and deal. Their website listed prices aren't necessarily their final price.

That was my complaint about my experience there however. They are sketchy about what deals they offer and how much they hide in the shipping cost. That being said, the merchandise arrived quickly and was in great shape, so I've ordered other items from them as well. Their selection is good too so that's another plus. I did give them feedback saying I did not appreciate how they handled shipping charges.

Occasionally though if you keep an eye out, they have great sales. Recently they had a free shipping on Seibon carbon fiber and one of my buddies got a similar hood to the one I paid nearly $200 for shipping for $0 shipping.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA...-FRONT-BUMPER- Ebay links are not allowed ....al.....

This has tickled me the right way too. Guessing by the sellers feedback it's the original tsunami? I'd have to use my dads paypal to buy this though.

I had no issue with them when i bought a few parts from them.

I would suggest calling and sometimes they will even get you a better deal or a deal onthe shipping. Atleast thats what they did for me.

Not so, we've just reduced our shipping costs up to 40% since April 1st '09

Happy to quote " How much + how soon " for anything on our Site

And that's coming from you....

...who is actually a really good vendor lol. JapanParts is a very good vendor. I did business with them (kind of third party with another member), but they always kept me informed and I got great parts for a great price.

I've never done business with Vivid, but search the forums, especially in the good guy/bad guy section and draw your own conclusion.

Ah, I almost forgot about their getting booted from NASIOC...

Long before I worked for BHR I was a customer of RX8 parts ;-). Vivid Racing is local here in Phoenix and the Arizona Mazda Club is the largest and pretty much only Mazda club in the state. We have about 20+ RX8's that are active members.

Vivid has done business with several RX8 owners and I think I probably had the only positive experience because I was only buying parts they had in stock.

You can search, but we had a local RX8 owner that was the test car for the AP underdrive pulley which resulted in a false dyno being used as the actual dyno they market their pulley.

We had another RX8 which was well modified in their shop doing part fittment and it went totally wrong causing damage to his car as well as him having to front the money for repairs cause vivid refused to stand behind their work.

If price is your only driving factor for buying something then be prepared to deal with the shortcomings. There are, however, a few vendors that have low prices and great service with documented service records.

I'm wondering... Japan parts, do you get the parts from VeilSide Japan or what? If that is confidential info, that's ok. I'm just wondering.

I got AP Front & Rear Swaybars from them while Vivid was a vendor here (3 yrs ago?). Contacted the rep by phone and they were promptly shipped. I received a price that was discounted as compared to their website prices.
I know there have been many people that have reported problems but I didn't experience it.

That was probally becuase you worked with Mike Huffman(huff's Rx8). When he left Vivid, the support we recieved from Vivid went into the toilet.

Many of us local AZ'ians would prefer to deal with someone else, even if Vivids price is less..

Whe they first started they rocked. They grew, the income grew, and the arrogance grew.. The customer service experiance tanked.

Brian,
not secret, we get Veilside parts from Veilside + have done so since 1996

How long have you been selling Veilside in the USA ( ? ) Seeing 70 if your 86 postings on the forum to date are advising stock levels of Veilside product and/or recommending Veilside; you might consider becoming a vendor here ( ? )

Just look at the whole package. Don't be foolish.

I bought some brake rotars. No problem.

I never buy anything off line or from someone I don't know with out conditions.

Not in stock, doesn't ship in a day, the credit charge is cancelled.

I have done tens of thousands of dollars in business online (literally) like the rest of you. I just can't afford to get ripped off..can't remember the last time I was ripped off online. But I know it still happens..especially with markets I'm less familiar with =P
