URGENT Help! Mazda Rx-8 flooded engine

To fellow Rx-8 owners out there:

I need some advice. I started my car and moved it on a rainy Sunday evening from the front porch to my garage. The next day the car wouldn't start and I tried reviving the car but was unsuccessful. I had the car towed to the nearest Mazda dealership in Arlington, TX.

I had to wait until the next day before I had to make a call to them and find out the status of the repairs. They tell me they THINK the engine is flooded (yeah no brainer!) and something is clogged. I dont know if the service guys know what they were talking. I still have a factory warranty on the car. Its an 04 Rx-8, the factory warranty covers up to 50,000 miles and I am sitting at 45,000 miles.

The service guy at the dealership says that they will get it fix but they dont know if it is covvered under warranty. This could be an expensive fix but I have read all service bulletins, recalls and certain articles as well as forum posts online and from my understanding Mazda should cover the repairs for an engine that has been flooded. Some people have even got their engine replaced under warranty. SO i dont understand why this dealer is trying to charge me for a repair that Mazda has said that is covered under warranty.

Has anyone experienced this and how to go about dealing with the service people? I really dont have a lot of money to go through the repairs.

Thanks guys and girls!

just in case
pull fuel pump fuse and remove spark plugs
crank engine for 5-10 seconds (gas will shoot out plug holes and you should see some smoke)
wait 20 second to give starter time to get ready for more cranking
this will also kill ur battery so u should connect it to another car

Purchased this year as the second owner. Don't know when was the car previously purchased. I also purchased an extended warranty on the car from the dealership I bought it from.
