ahh... the now generation doesn't have scrupples and moral standards like us old school guys.

I think you guys are forgeting the positive thread responses like:

What do you plan on doing with:

tires
brakes
suspension
what's your goal, more speed or show?

We ask this because our answers depends upon what the buyer wants to do which reflect if the product is the best for his application.

For example; someone may say Eibachs are the best, when all they were looking for is a drop where others may says Bilsteins or KW's are best because they are good on the track. so who is correct?

Then it all boils down too... what you like best and what you want to pay.

It wasn't my fault! Honest... I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!!

Maybe it has something to do with the age and/or personality of the poster? There are those who never admit to making a mistake, especially where a few grand are concerned.

my old account here was "life time banned" earlier this year for pointing out what I thought was obvious: the cars were designed rip-off's of movie cars. Maybe I was a little harsh in my judgment, but it was comical enough to me that I had to call it out. Anyway, I think I realize what sql was saying, this place is commercially driven. Sucks loose access to the fs/general forums for having an opinion.

Going back to the original post, the only real ugliness comes from a few select posters who's mantra is "my turbo is better then yours".

They would have their own forum if it weren't for the fact it would be a forum of 3 maybe 4 people.

As soon as people begin strapping mods on their car all bets are off regarding durability. No doubt there always going to be durability issues that prevail. On this forum discussions that could lead to a resolution are re-directed into an ego war of "my turbo is better then yours". Thats the ugly truth.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, update won't be for about 2 months.

Well MySql, the RX-8 club is a special club. Does it have anything to do with how special our cars are? Compared to other online car clubs I've been a part of (protegeclub & nasioc) this place is a MESS. Where do I even get started... EVERY OTHER thread is highjacked into a flame war but lately it seams like 2 opposing aftermarket vendors are recruiting gang members. Feels like the club's gonna rumble ala west-side-story.

I agree with you here. This forum is supposed to help others, which it does do, but the internet tough guys are getting worse in here constantly hijacking and flaming other people. Instead of telling every newbie to search and flame them....how about just point them in the right direction? It's getting old fast.

We did point them to the right direction, which is "search"

The only way to learn is to sit and actually study it on YOUR OWN. not just "post and hope someone will feed you with answers"

yes that is true, however there is a proper way to do it instead of being an internet thug...what are we all a bunch of high schoolers here?
