depends on who put them on lol. just shoot some brake cleaner behind the accent and see if that breaks the adhesive free.

hey if you buy teh vehicle back there are a lot of parts usable. people need splash guards, seats, belts that are worn. Some people may need only one wheel, or your tpms sensors. Don't forget the sun visors, hell ill buy those off you. Shift *****, even the gauge cluster. There is a lot to be salveged.

It's not your car any more...or it won't be once the insurance company pays off.

Why don't you just give the body shop guy the adjuster's phone number? Or give the adjuster the body guy's number?

It might even help your settlement negotiations if you give the adjuster a lead on a buyer. The insurance company is looking for the difference between the payoff to you and what they can get for salvage value.

idk i have to see....if he wasn't being such an @ss when i was asking him for help with the spare tire kit and pulling out the radio i may have been willing to help him out

the shop manager was talking to me while i was taking the tags off he was showing an adjuster from another insurance company my car and he said something about the roof of the car got shifted idk...... they were all shocked that i am walking around after an accident like that

i felt like i was the guy in the subaru legacy commerical when he goes and takes the shift **** off the car saying how it saved his life, b/c i did the same thing and plan to put that shift **** in my new 8 lol.........so i will send you the new one Doc

wow, sorry to hear about this...

but, i have to say that the color of the car really affects how other drivers see you. honestly, there are many times when silver or dark gray colored cars just elude my vision. and, i'm one of those ppl that look 3 times before i move- mirror, head turn, mirror again. and, silver & gray cars always pop outta nowhere.

but, that lady was completely in the wrong to even think that she could make a u-turn from a right lane. outright stupid move.

i hope u get a fair settlement and either get ur car fixed or a new car.

This car gets some of the highest safety ratings, particularly rollover. That was significant when convincing my wife that I would not kill myself getting a sports car at my age. Hate to see you lose your 8, but I'm glad that the safety features worked.

When I went back to the dealer to pick of my plates a month after purchase, my salesman took me out back and showed me an 8 that had been T-boned on a test drive. Took a Lexus in the passenger door, where a salesman had been sitting. I'd have guessed fatal, but the guy survived and was expected to recover completely.

no the 8 did it's job I really was talking about when he took the **** off the car lol
yeah some one else said the same thing about the color playing a factor so idk I nvr really thought about it that way of course one would notice a red before grey but idk the car looks so good in that color...... I have came across a few winning blues

nationwide called me while I was at the track saying we will discuss the payout on Monday I printed out about 20 8s within 200 miles that were comparable with mine..... So we shall see I can't wait til Monday I want a new car next week

do an edmunds print out too, with all your features. they allow you to add options to increase the value of your vehicle. Also some insurance companies like USAA also give you half the cost of after market mods. I only know that because I'm with USAA but it wouldn't hurt you to read into the companies policy.

Jac - are you dealing with your insurance company or hers? If hers, you're not bound to any "half the mod value" rules. You're entitled to full compensation. If you're dealing with yours, they can be more generous than usual because they'll eventually collect from hers.

Also, don't forget that the value needs to be retail: what you'd pay for a comparable one at a good (i.e., high priced) used car lot. Find some comparables at CarMax.

omgosh! your dad just showed me the pic the other day! I work with him at CarMax...he kept asking me for advice when you were about to get the 8. im sorry to hear about this. i was excited when he told me you got the car. Its so depressing to see 8s fall to the misfortune of other drivers. hope you guys can find a new one...he told me you were having some difficulty.

Yeah he talks about you all the time lol he said I should know who you are since you saw the pics lol I asked him if your car had pink and grey stars on the side all he could remember was that the roof is white and you had gold rims

The problem right now is that nationwide is taking forever and the second is that I can't find any in the area they have a lot of nice ones in PA but like two hours away
