After 3 weeks i turned my car on and it fired right up, some stuff that i realized was when it was warming up i went out side and heard some really slow squealing sound from under the bonnet
is this normal.The other thing was that when i put it in reverse the dashboard lights twitched
dont know why. i took it out for a little spin around my garage and it seemed that the gear box sound was very high. i let it warm up for a good 10 min and than revd it up while in nutreal to 4k than to 9k and turned it off.

I recently fired mine up after it had been sitting for six weeks, and I didn't have any of the symptoms you describe. It was as normal. But I live in Arkansas, and it's not very cold here, so that may make a difference.

 

it depends on how cold it is if it is deathly cold you will get some crazy sounds I think you're ok....

 

I get that whiney sound to when I first start my car up when its cold. But it just started happening when it got cold out.

I thought it was the air pump or something

 

I also get that sound, tho it disappeared for like a day once when my CEL came on for "intake manifold valve stuck open" but the CEL went away and the noise returned. But it's only for like the first 45s or so after startup.

 

Did it sound like a squealing belt? AC, Alternator, etc?

 

no because it doesn't change with RPM, that was my first thought too. It actually sounds a bit like some sort of electric motor or actuator.

 

my car does this for a short time as well .. only when it cold out though... so i think its normal

 

my lights always flicker a little when i put into R, its extremely slight, but fine.
