wish Mazda didn't have to add that huge mustachio on the front. It looks weird. Otherwise, nice car. I'd hit it if I am looking for an rx-8.... change out that cx-7 steering wheel too.

Congratulations!
Mazda made a lot of improvements you can't see, also, like injecting major league amounts of foam into places they never did before to improve road noise levels on the highway.
The motor obviously has the 3 OMP design, which is great.
I have to be honest though and admit I'm not a fan of the front end on the new RX8. I think Mazda wanted to change for change's sake, and there's a disconnect between the angular front fascia and headlights and the side profile that I just don't like. It reminds me of the Bangle BMWs.
Love the Recaros!!! But I also am not a fan of the MX5 type steering wheel.
But congrats, nonetheless, because the new 8 is improved in many areas, and styling is subjective.

I went to a dealer lot and parked my car beside an '09 the other day. There really wasn't a whole lot of difference. The "grin" is huge, yes, but the "lip" really doesn't look that pronounced in person. For the life of me I can't understand why it looks so damn horrible in pictures. Its sole purpose for existing seems to be for easier mounting of the front license plate.
What is the purpose of the two perforated "tabs" on the lip though? I saw them actually removed on one car, and that was pretty ugly.
