Unhappy Tooo fast? Too windy?

Funny thing happened to me on the way home this evening. I was entering the freeway, going from 0 to 85mph on the freeway onramp, with winds gusting at 40mph. As I made the last gentle turn before hitting the high way my door ajar light and dome lights went on, then I slowed to 65 and the went off. It happened again when I came off the freeway on a cloverleaf off ramp.
I did a search, and I guess flexing can cause this since the doors being freestyle will loosen a bit causing the light to turn on.
I also guessing since this had not happened before, that the gusty winds and my speed had to do with it?
Has this happened to anyone else? I think I will watch it and see if it becomes a problem.

I have been taking some nice long turns here at a pretty good clip with winds in the 25 mph range without that happening. With the temps starting to drop a little here in SoFla we might get some windy days and we shall see, but I cant imagine the sensors would be that sensitive on purpose.

If the door was not ajar by accident, I would have the dealer check it out.

I would take it to the dealer and tell them what happened. It sounds to me as if your doors are not properly adjusted.

thats not normal - get it sorted out.

remeber..

no pistons, no pillars, no kidding!

I've developed a habit of entering 50k 90 degree corners at 104+ km p/h and have never had anything like what you're describing, and I'd freak if I did.

Well, hasn't happened to me again today? Weird.
Anyway, while I was at the store I came out to find a shopping cart smashed against my door! TOTALLY PISSED!!
2 very noticible dents!!! Paint looks ok.
I called dent pro paintless dent repair to try to fix it this friday. Hopefully they will do a good job. He does a lot of the dealership new cars, and has worked with RX8's before. Ive read good things about this on the threads.
Once done, I may bring it to the dealership regarding the door.

this is really weird, i had this happen to me as i was driving today...as I would make a left turn at a decent speed (25+mph) the door ajar light would come on and the dome light would come on too (presumably from the passenger side) and then go off when I straightened out...when i got to where I was going i checked the doors but they seemed ok, and it didn't happen on the way back home. weird weird weird...
