Oh yea, and if you must have the tint...

window tint isn't really going to affect these because I believe the sensors are outside the car.

I understand your point, but I don't agree with it. Knowing whether the alert is coming from ahead or behind helps me decide when it's safe to speed back up, if I'm detecting a false (and Stealth is right, it does false often in the higher sensitivity modes), or if one of the safety/construction signs that PA likes to put on the side of the road is throwing radar again. Once in a blue moon, another radar detector will set it off and having the arrows helps me determine when that's the case too. I've also slowed for an alarm, passed the cop, and prepared to speed back up only to see the fwd arrow still lit with another cop half a mile ahead. These are just a few examples.

I'm not saying the V1 is the greatest detector in the world - it does have it's flaws. The 9500i is an awesome alternative and has some good selling points as well. I'm just saying that the arrows alone are an incredibly useful feature (at least for me) that you may not appreciate until you drive with a V1 for an extended period of time.

1.) Lasers = You're screwed. Get a Laser Jammer if they are legal in your state. I believe they are here (in GA). Radar jammers =/= laser jammer

2.) Watch for off duty cops.... they call buddies to sit up ahead, with lasers =/

3.) Don't speed too much, take it from someone with 22 points on their license (until I get done with the 100 hours of community service, which should drop it to 12 points)

Most cops are going exclusively laser, so once again, BE CAREFUL... I get hit with lasers a lot and sometimes I never see the cop... I've even gotten hit by one in stand still traffic.
I would never do 140 on a Highway with cops on it, let alone other people, unless im with a crew. Dude, I've driven for over 3 years with no Detector, with no points, because I pay attention and know the roads I'm driving on. The only reason I'm considering one now is because I'm doing more road trips, on roads im not familiar with, and even though I dont speed excessively on unfamiliar areas, its nice to know whats coming.

You my friend however, scare me. I'm shocked your not in jail. I think im gonna take it a little slow for the next week or two...

That is extremely fast, but there could have been no one around it was a four lane that was perfectly straight.

I believe in fuzz busters, saved me just last week going 80 in a 60.

It was actually at 2am with virtually no traffic on I85 North, which is straight for a few miles.

Well said, I too have a V1 and like the arrows. My brother has a Bel Rx65Pro (which I recommended for him & his Mustang) that I tried out as well and like quite a bit. Radar detectors have their Pros/Cons, you have to weigh which features & attributes are more important to you.
