The Time Has Come

For me to buy an 8!!!!!!!! I'll probably get one in the next week or so. I test drove an 07 Stormy Blue Mica....rare I know, I was the first one to drive it. The puppy had 6 miles on it. Now I'm gonna say I wasn't that big of fan, its too subtle and doesn't look like anything special. Headroom is tight, but I don't dislike anything else so that isn't enough. That said, I also want an 06 with the ridiculous rebates.

The dealership has a ton of options, so why I'm posting is I need some advice on a color. i've narrawed it down...

Red ext Red/Black Leather interior
Black ext Alcantara interior
Gray ext Alcantara
Black on Black Leather

Of those four, which do you think?

If you're getting black be ready to have the urge to wash your car everyday. Gray's meh. VR ftw.

If I were to do it again, I wouldn't get black. The color is AMAZING, sure..but..it just shows EVERYTHING.

I'd go with VR..Ti Grey..or the pre-2007 blue.

I agree. My BB looks great for about half an hour after I wash it.
I swore I'd never own Black again...
My 04 SS 8 was a great color. It always looked clean.

Go with what-ever color you desire.
The darker colors on ALL vehicles are a pain to keep "looking" clean.

I have a Silver 8 and it always looks clean. But if I was in your position I would go for the stormy blue.

I vote this as being the lamest thread of the month.

The color you should get is pink, like in Mary Kay pink.

Then you can sell alot of cosmetics!

of your four choices I would go with the gray and alcantara, I disliked that finish up until today when I actually stopped by the dealership and had a closer look at it, the red background and stitching makes is nice, but it's going to show every stain pretty well so plan on never letting anyone eat chocolate in it. The one they had there was copper red, which is an amazing color but it was AT so the hell with it.

red or blue are my choices for an exterior color, but I don't like the red on black leather... but that's just me.

ignore the naysayers and critics of this thread, I posted one as well and while the truth is that the pick lies solely with you, there is valuable info to be had on how practical each color is, like black being hard to keep clean and the alcantara interior being a stain magnet.

if you are willing to clean your car a lot, get a black. looks the best if clean. but detailing is a must as well with it since swirls are a M-fER. Red is a great color and is less maintenance. Gray is like whatever. interior is your choice.

If I were to do it again, I would try to get the sunroof out without losing DSC, and get yellow jacket yellow.

Get any color then spray-paint it orange. Then throw on some tiger-striped seatcovers.

Red for the win! Brings out the lines of the car!! hehe esp the bulging fenders. But definitely make sure you maintain red or black. Red more prone to faster oxidation of the paint which means it fades faster.....black is just a pain to keep up with. plus every swirl mark you get will drive you insane.

Grey looks classy and professional. and probably hides dirt the best.
