Taillight bulb come unplugged?

While crusing around town yesterday, someone pulled up next to me at a stoplight and told me I had a taillight out. I pull into a parking lot to inspect.....Left rear light was out. I look closely and see the bulb is not in the socket and is laying in the bottom of the taillight enclosure

I get home and take out the rear light assembly and pull the bulb out of the hole for the socket and reinstall. Seems to fit snug.

Anyone else have a bulb pop out of the socket?

Actually mine just came unplugged late last week. I pulled out the assembly, but how did you get the bulb out? I've almost ripped my finger off trying to get it out!

You have to take the whole light assembly off. Then you just tilt it until the bulb falls through the hole where the wiring harness plug goes.

Just to clarify.....You have to take the entire wire harness plug out of the socket at the back of the light housing.
