syn oil how many miles?

I've been sticing with DINO but have been moving around weights and seeing what i like...

RP started since i had 20K miles roughly
no problems..

now im debating whether on not to switch to amsoil or idemitsu and start premixing

im at 54K miles now.

ive used RP roughly since i got a new engine in my AT, so far I have 1.5K miles on RP 5W-30 and it runs perfect.

I hear idemitsu is very good for premix(I believe it's meant for rotary premixing) I use Pennzoil Marine and have used Castrol Marine before

Used Dino for about the first 85,000 miles (35,000 on new engine) and been running RP 5W30 ever since and now I have 100400 miles. Runs great and smooth.

Switched to RP 5W-30 at 2k miles, then to RP 15W-40 (or 10W-40, if I can't get 15W) at about 65k miles --- currently at ~137000 miles and going strong.

Hmmmmmmmmmm - so you PREFER 15w40 to 10w40

LOL ... actually, I don't have one preference over the other. What I really meant to write was what is/was available when I buy oil. I'm currently using 10W-40.

/\ well you should have a preference that being 10w40 . better yet 5w40 or 0w40
