suspension question

ok not sure were this thread should be but yeah i have a suspension question..k i bought tein flexs frm another rx8 owner i put it on then i noticed that my drivers side is more dropped then my passenger side, can i just adjust the coilovers unevenly because there set at the same height on the coilovers, and my second question is if u can just adjust it unevenly on your passenger side to make it even is it bad? or how else can u make it even?

Ya . . .preload, then tighten bolts.

This has been a MAJOR topic of conversation on here.

search words : preload , pre-load , spring settle , tein

But I cant wait to see the replies on this thread.

The bolts you need to get to are all behind the wheel, but still not too hard to get to.

Search through all the DIY suspension threads . . you are bound to find a good picture if you need it

yep pre load would be a great thing to search for IF YOU KNEW THAT WAS THE PROBLEM! $%^& my god some people!

There are 2 ways you can adjust the height of the car with flex, one is with the height adjustment (Screw the bottom section out). The other is is to wind the bottom perch of the spring up. This unfortunately has a potentially negative affect so should be avoided as a means for adjusting height. The simplest test you can do is get a tape measure an measure between 2 fixed points on each unit. I use the top spring perch and the bottom locking collar (the one that stops the height adjustment).

Hope that helps.
