Yeah, a bunch of us have had that (rattles when it's open). I think there is a TSB for it. I just put some grease on the rails, and it hasn't rattled for years

My old eclipse had a sunroof and it rattled when open i think it is just a downfall to a sunroof but the grease might work out well i would try that.

I asked the dealer to look at it last time I had the oil changed, they greased it up and I haven't heard it since (though granted it's winter here...)

If you have the dealer do the sunroof TSB, tell 'em that apparently some dealers put in a piece (I forget which one) backwards when they reassemble, so to be careful about that.

So did mine; the TSB fixes that.

The '04 warranty was up at 50k.

My driver mirror rattles, but not the sunroof.

Bummer.

Got my drivers mirror replaced under warranty too...hehe

As for the grease, I'm pretty sure you ought to use something silicone based, but beyond that I don't know much about it. Just have the dealer do it if you're within warranty, didn't cost me a dime.
