Sudden jump in MPG!!.. Wait a second....

in case you dunno, there is a enrichment table in the ECU. I dunno what MM did to the tune but the ECU will build this trim over time, sometimes in a day, sometimes weeks, sometimes months. depends on your driving condition. so that might explain why he is getting slightly better MPG over time.
also, as far as I know MM tune will turn the OMP rate up. which results in better sealing. so yeah, that might help to get him a bit better mpg overtime, cuz the ECU sense better combustion from the Front O2 sensor = better a/f ratio = better mpg. get it ?

the point of my post was to try to find an explination on why my MPG suddenly increased. was i unclear in my initial post? ive searched it. nothing came up. my routine/habbits are quite consistent. so is the weather here in so cal. thank you for offering a possible answer to my question even though you didnt feel there was a point. sorry that my post upset you so much.

i guess that is a possible cause but 1.5 months? i find it a bit hard to believe that the ECU would cause a jump that drastically in the matter of one fill but ill take it.

my opinion is that unless its something like constant for example 10 times in a row, then I will consider it "worthwhile"
Its just some people here that can't accept my opinion and call me close minded when they don't even know **** themselves.
its ok tho.
and yes, it usually takes a while to build fuel trim. and from time to time the value change on its own, again it all depends on driving condition.
