I'd say mine is way more purple'er (at times).
After the Black Cherry Mica, I like the Stormy Blue.

its a nice color for a non traditional sports car color.

 

I personally think the Stormy blue is one of the best colors out there. Check out the Car and Driver they had a couple of months back against the 350Z, Shelby Mustang and Audi TT. If I remember correctly, that was a stormy blue. Looks awesome!

The Phantom is my favorite of the three. Saw one in the showroom when I was last in for service. Really liked it. That said, I've never seen one on the road is direct sunlight.

I've had too many blue cars and don't like blue in general anymore ... but this one is really nice! I've been stuck on black now for a few cars and wouldn't switch.

 

To me, anything is better that Gray/Silver.

Stormy blue is my fav Rx8 color, *nearly* bought one, instead I got a Montego Blue Rx7, which is my fav color there... Now I am looking to paint my 1 ton dually one of those two colors

 

Yeah, I tried to convince myself into a S2, but spending lots of time looking at all the colors, and this one wins me over even if I didn't have hang ups about some of the exterior changes and most importantly the gauge cluster change. It will be what I'm after when the time comes in the hopefully near future.

Side note, just convinced my wife to get a Shinka; she loves the Black Cherry ... so two 8s for the household.

Our VRM we had will always have a place in my heart, but red is too flashy for me, but that was a damn nice color and good match with the red/black interior.



I think the calling all stormy blues needs to be added to the color list for newcomers comparing ... or someone could go crazy an start a thread that displays each color in its own post, with the best examples of the range and depth of each color ... something most photos don't show well and hard for people to get a true feel for the colors.

 

I found it is a color that has to be seen in person... I never saw one under a street lamp, but I imagine it would look pretty good
