Why oh why are there so many a**holes in this world?

I purchased the polished aluminum RX-8 valve stem caps for my car just about 3 weeks ago. This weekend I am looking over my car and I notice that somebody already ripped them off.

Real nice. I keep my car garaged. I don't drive it or park it in high crime neighborhoods, but yet, you just can't seem to get away from the stupid jerks that want ruin what is yours.

At least it was only a cheap accessory. Thank god the jerks didn't steal my wheels or my whole car!

 

there is always a risk when you own something that other people want.. sry for ur loss. but like u said atleast it wasnt ur wheels... or dare i say it, your car

 

Each time that I have had a car broken into, vandalized, it really bothers me to think that they had their hands on my car.

 

It sucks when people steal stuff. They not only don't care about taking things from you, they don't care about damaging other things in the car.

For example, someone broke my car window to steal the radar detector. They ripped it from the car (it was hard wired in), and grabbed a leather coat and all the pennies I had in the center console (it was actually pennies! not dimes, not quarters, but pennies!).

 

Sorry to hear about your loss and thank goodness it was just something small none the less it sucks, and now confirms to me that I probably should not get them as that was my biggest fear of purchasing them in the first place, think I will just go get me some regular chrome valve stem cap replacements.

People who steal suck!

 

That sucks sorry to hear it. I didn't get the caps cause I remember when I was a kid we'd steal them (the nice ones). Chances are some 12 yr old has them right now on his Haro.

 

My first experience with this was with my first RX-7 when I was in Sacramento for a year (lots of crime around me). First they broke the window to get in. Then they stole the stereo and they cut all the wires to buttons along the bottom of the same face plate that held in the stereo. They cut the wires so close to the buttons that I couldn't splice new wire to the buttons.

So, I left it without a stereo and started to leave the doors unlocked so not get a window broken again. One day I found the lock to the driver's door had been picked! They could have just lifted the door handle to find out that there was nothing left.

 

When people like that get capped i feel no ways about that sh*t.
Anyone ever catch someone trying to break in to their property?
