hey guys,

i bought my rx8 TI at san jose dealer 3 weeks ago. it had 9500 miles on it and the car looks practically like new in and out.

when i drove the car back to san francisco, i found out the right rear tire was deflated next morning. it had two 5 inches nails on the inner wall of the tire. i coudnt be patched so the shop suggested me to get a new tire instead. i called the dealer and the agreed to reimburse me. i was lucky it didt deflate when i was driving on the highway.

i want to know if you guys out there put a spare tire in the trunk. ? where to get it with reasonable price ?

 

I ordered mine when I preodered the car so it came installed. But I don't carry it much because I favor the valuable trunk space more. I have been carrying it for the last 5k miles because my tires are toast. New rubber should show-up soon so the tire will be taken out. Yes, the spare tire kit and tire fit in the trunk.

Try one of the online vendors like Rosenthal or Trussville. There are two different options to order the spare tire kit, with and without tire. And ofcourse you'll have to install it in the trunk too.

Hey you wouldn't be interested in trading a stock trunk lid for one that is debadged??? :o If so, check my sig for more detail....

i saw your posted pictures last time and the TI looks so great. but i would not trade in the trunk lid for now. my wife wud 'kill' :o me for that.
