Omicron, are you listening? After all of your cool interior lighting mods, are you going to post for us a how-to on a lighted dipstick tube? I'd give it a shot, but my 8 is still on a boat somewhere... :D

Thank heaven for those little LEDs!

On the Audi A6, the sunroof opens with automatically with a graded ****. So, you can turn the **** halfway and the sunroof will automatically stop halfway. You can turn it all the way closed, and it'll close automatically. You can twist it 28/99ths of the way, and it'll open exactly 28/99ths of the way. This is a great way to go with the sunroof. It's auto open, auto close, auto part-way.

Also:
Standard DIN Radio
No Packaged Options
ECU Properly Programmed w/ Better Mileage and Horsepower
---High Temperature Cat
TPMS Optional/Turn-Offable
Button Start Ignition
Ability to Upgrade to Navigation
Fold-Down Rear Seat

-P23

Also, in my experience, MPG displays are usually useless, they show "5 mpg" while accelerating, and then "60 mpg" when coasting. Better applied would be a time-averaged display.

Has anyone heard any rumors or truths about a multi disc MP3 player? I can live with a disc based MP3 system and not a hard drive system, but I really hate only having one MP3 disc in my system at a time. My wife's ION comes with a 6 disc MP3 player. Just curious, I'm just holding out on changing my CD player cause I really want this functionality.

1. More factory power with the NA Renesis. Give us 250 REAL hp. I'd like to see an optional turbo too.

2. Improved gas mileage. While I'm at it, I'd like a pony and world peace.

3. Folding rear seats. Would be very useful.

4. Greater option customizability. (What do you MEAN I can't have leather seats unless I get a moonroof?!?)

5. 2-way 1 touch windows. Very annoying as is.

6. A center console not made of splintered toothpicks and recycled Bulgarian tennis shoes. That thing feels like it can crumble into dust at any second.

7. Either better lighting or ergonomics for the window/lock buttons. Hard to find and use.

8. An extended dipstick tube and/or lighting down there. Very difficult to reach... especially for a car that requires frequent oil checks.

9. A trunk release button I can find and use easily. Maybe it's just me, but I can never locate that thing without groping around for a minute first.

10. Telescoping steering wheel.

11. Climate control.

12. Fix the flooding problem. It's not a huge issue for informed owners who exercise basic precautions, but it shouldn't be an issue at all.

13. Get a new OEM tire... the 040's would have a longer treadlife if they were made of chalk, and are no stickier than any number of similarly priced tires.

14. Driver seat memory.

Obviously I'd like Mazda to give us more power, better fuel economy and fix the flooding problem but I assume thats all part of their continuous development of the Renesis. Focussing on more immediate tweaks:

1) Lower gearing. 6th is too high to be useful and doesn't seem to help much with fuel economy. Change the final drive ratio so that 6th is somewhere between current 5th and 6th. This would also improve performance a little.

2) Make the drivers seat an inch lower. This would give a more sporty feel, but more importantly would mean that above average size people could actually order the sunroof.

3) Bigger fuel tank, say 80 litres. Yes I know this adds weight and affects the handling balance but if you're that worried about it then don't fill it all the way up.

4) New colours. Say a classy looking deeper metalic blue. Or a metalic green that doesn't look like black.

5) Fit better OEM tyres.

6) Let us have cruise control in the UK!!

1. Coat the brake rotors or paint them so they don't rust around the areas the pads don't hit. I see many of them that have rust all over and it looks bad.
2. A auxiliary input for the radio. So I can use my ipod without getting FM transmitter for it.
3. A rear wiper would be cool.
4. Better commercials for the car and more of them.
5. I don't know how or if they could do it but make it so you could never close the doors in the wrong order. I just know that one day a drunk friend will get into the car and try and close the front door before the rear door and then somehow the rear door will be slammed shut and I'll be in jail for killing two or three people.
