Well, finally back in the states and got my project rx8 in the garage. This thing has been a trooper, 128k on the clock, original engine. It fires up fine, doesn't seem to blow out excessive smoke,has no problem with hot starts, but allegedly the engine has low compression. With that mileage, perhaps it does. However, that's not what this post is about.


I'm looking for some little things for the car, such as the center console "button" the one that releases the sliding door. Also, the buttons for the driver side passenger seat are gone. Additionally, I'll be needing a passenger side mirror, and need to replace the entire airbag cover, as it is cracked excessively.

Does Mazda still carry these parts? Is there somewhere else I can get them cheaper?

So...does that mean the parts are no longer available from Mazda? I'll give them a call on Monday I suppose.
