coming to work this evening 5pm. going about 65mph on one of our local freeways. 3 lanes, i am in the center. a car in the right comes into the center lane maybe 3 car lengths ahead and then swerves abit. i then see this maybe 3ft X 3ft L shaped piece of pipe, looked like the thing u see in the bed of a truck holding up ladders or lumber. Well it is coming up from under his tires as he hits it and it is standing up. i have a truck on the right and another car on the left so i can't swerve.
As i hit it just off center it is tall enough that i can see it over the hood. smash, then i hear it bouncing under the car.
looking in the rear view mirror i see it and some plastic/fiberglass going down the road behind me. First i can't believe it didn't come up thru the windshield, or come up thru the floor. I pull over and see that the bumper is hit but the whole diffuser? skid plate is broke and hanging.
didn't see any damage under the car itself and no leaks seem to be detected. arrive at work 25miles away and look again see nothing bad and no leaks.
i am gonna have to duct tape it while here at work so the whole thing doesn't break off.
I will most likely put a jack under the front friday and look closer for undercarriage damage and see how much of the front needs to be replaced.
just my luck.
anyone in the houston area have another diffuser plate?

that sucks! Before I got my screens, I hit a chuck of metal on the highway, and it broke my A/C condenser....that was a quick $800 to get it fixed. Good luck finding one
