ah, i thought that you said you only had 9k on the chassis not the engine. nevermind then their quote is pretty close.

i don't like the new 8's as much as the 1st gen, but to each there own, I am sure they look good fixed up, i just don't like stock at all... but new redesigned engine and r3 with .477s in it will be nice!!!

so the r3 plan didnt go through, im stuck between getting another rx8 or getting a 07 mazdaspeed6....im broken up any help guys.

So update from the insurance company: after i sent them the documents of when the engine was replaced. They reviewed it and called me back stating that the new engine made the car value go up. Now they will be writing me a check for $13,300. I am much happier with that. So what i plan on doing now is i found a perfect clone of my old car buy that for 10k cash and the rest ill buy me some new coils,accessport,and a metra kit.

I bought a 04 silver gt with 77k miles, it has a new clutch and aem cold air intake. I have 4k left from the check so I'm looking into mods soon.

I'd hang onto a little bit of that to take care of the car unless you are solid on it's performance. If you really want to go upgrades, you should look at the coils, spark plugs, etc first and foremost.
