so i have it planned out (:
After months of contemplation and searching, I've decided to save up a few thousand and get my first RX8 in December. It will be like a Christmas present for myself~
On a side note; someone told me that rotaries take oil mixed with gas as well?

Search things like
"compression test" "ignition coils" "warm start" "oil weight" "catalytic converter" "maintenance" before the purchase. It may save you a couple of thousands bucks.
There's no need to ask simple questions. After 8\9 years all the common ones have been answered at least a dozen times.

Registered
Add "oil metering pump" to the list of things to search for.
You can download a pdf of the owner's manual at mazdausa.com. There's a link that leads to all the OMs, even if you don't have a car to register yet. OM is the primary source for maintenance info.
When I bought my 8 I found browsing the DIY forum here to be pretty useful. I also found that keeping away from the "Cumulative synthetic oil...." thread was really useful.

Welcome to the forum! Check the threads mentioned above. Read the stickies, especially in this section. Do your research now so you know what you're getting into. The search suggestions above will get you more than on your way to happy ownership. The more you know before hand, the better your experience will be. Don't be turned off by problems posted. It's a forum after all, more people come for help and to complain than to gloat.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Future rx8 owner...good luck and don't change your mind about the rx8. You won't regret it. It's a unique car that you don't see much often. It's fun to drive and it's a head turner.

It's definitely a rarity where I live. There isn't a single one for miles, haha. So I'll be happy when I purchase (:
I'm not quite sure which exactly, obviously, but it will have to be white [the sexiest color, yeahh]. Apparently I have a lot of reading to do though, so I'll get to that >>

I'm looking at 2006 and up, I'll only go a year or two older if I absolutely have to (since I read the info in those threads about '04s and such). But I am definitely in love with white on this car, so expect nothing but when I get it ;D
And I will definitely be posting pictures, I have some little things already planned out for this car and I don't even have it yet Haha, I'm just super stoked to actually being able to get one. I might be crying every time I fill up, but I think the car will be worth it.
