i was only able to buy my rx8 because i paid it in cash, i would not be able to afford buying the car, paying payment, paying insurance and buying the stuff that breaks down. I would recommend to get a civic, they are fun and economic cars.

I make $750 a week and I would say the rx-8 is a stupid financial decision. Much better off just buying a car you can afford straight up. That being said I have lots of fun, and I don't live my life with regrets. No point in that, just learn from mistakes.

Meh depends on what you feel like spending your money on really. The 10/hr $700 payment thing. *shrugs* long as he is making the payments who cares? If he always makes the payments and eventually pays it off, his credit will be through the roof. I'm kind of one of those people, but I don't party, I don't drink, I don't do drugs. I have the money to do those kinds of things.

AS for the thread, yeah if $1,700 is breaking you what will 15k do you (sorry you won't talk it down that far plus 2k tax, title, license) also I've already put more than $2,000 into my car because of b.s. the dealer didn't tell me and didn't correctly do. (aka I had a dead battery, plugs where shot and in the wrong holes, all oils where dark, front clip is the wrong color{was too dirty for me to realize}, climate control shot, tires, and so on) All things I was able to do myself, but i'm a certified mechanic, guessing by the blowing a camry up, how much would that cost you?
Yes you already said you won't, but no one said never. Get a bicycle, bike to work and back to pay off the car, junkyard that boy for $500. Find an old S5 or any TurboII Rx7 really. Learn and save. Don't mod the car just drive it. When you learn how rotaries work and have the money buy the rx8 on trade.
