slow starter/dead battery

first let me start by saying that i did do a search, my results were about puting in a battery, or weather or not to use a red top or yellow top battery.

My problem is, i just bought this car last night, but i hve noticed that it seems to start realy slow, like the battery is dead. is this how they all start, or is it just mine. i am really thinking it is my car.

anyways, any response would be great.

My 8 does sound like it is "slow" when it turns over. The sound is quite different from what you hear from a piston-engined car. It has always been that way, and I believe it is just the normal sound of the rotary engine/starter cranking. Obviously, you should worry if it doesn't turn over at all. My advice is to keep the OEM battery as long as it does it's job and when it dies, replace it.

Why spend money on something you really don't need. Save your money for things you DO need, like fender strakes and clear side markers. Good luck with your new car!

No its not how all 8's start and its normal for you to buy a new car and get a dead battery. After all they do just sit there...

Very normal, especially for show room cars where the gadgetry is demonstrated for a zillion potential customers but the car is never actually driven.

I've read in at least one other thread on this site that the 8 ships with a weak OEM battery. I've noticed the same thing about the way it cranks sometimes, and I'm holding out for it to embarass me one morning so I can get it replaced under warranty.
