Sirius Radio Help
I searched the threads but couldn't find one that addressed this... does anyone own a factory installed Sirius radio (like in the Shinka edition)? Mine won't display the artist and name of the song. The aftermarket Sirius recever in my Corsica does so I thought they all did. I don't know much about satellite radio except that I love Sirius 13 Elvis radio.
I've pushed every button and turned every **** but still can't get anything other than the channel or reciever identifier to show up.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Manual says very minimal about the Sirius radio. Just how to get it into satellite mode and how to change channels.
Does any one else get the artist and song title or is the factory receiver/radio too basic of a model?

I installed it myself and it came with a manual. I press display then turn the small black **** to scroll Sucks it doesn't auto scroll. If that doesn't work take it to the dealer would be my suggestion.

I have an '05 Shinka. Yes, the Sirius DOES display artist and song title. You have to repeatedly hit the DISP button to change from channel number > station title > song title > artist.

+1^^ - Hit the display button multiple times to change the display info from channel number to channel name, format, artist and song title. The right **** scrolls the text for longer entries.

You just have to wait for a sec or two after you press the display button to see the new information. I can't believe how slow the factory sirius pauses when you change from one station to another.

The delay depends on other factors, somtimes it's quick but from time to time it will crap out and come back. No auto scroll is the only flaw IMO. People who have after market are missing out on the ease of changing it from the wheel and not having to mess around with an FM modulator.

Indeed Gentlemen my Sirius Radio now functions as I always hoped it would. I thought I had pressed every button, but I guess I had left the DISP button out of my cross check. Thanks to heroes such as tjbourgoyne, New Yorker, amstarvid and Duke 15, I now can enjoy my radio to it's full potential.
(seriously though, I've owned the car for 5 months and it was driving me batsh!t insane that I couldn't figure that radio out)
Thanks again!

Cool - glad to hear it's working well - another tip I got from someone on the boards is that you can use the steering wheel controls to scroll thru every channel, not just your presets, by holding the up or down button longer. Doesn't work perfectly (I usually just use the tune **** if I'm looking for a channel that's not one of my presets), but it does work - just sometimes goes past the one your looking for...
