hes got a point. His lights DO look pretty sick. Man so many colour temps to choose from. I dont even know which ones to go for.

Exactly.... 6K is nice for that "elegant" look Alex is going for, 8K is a little more agressive and wouldnt look as good on stock body panels etc. IMO

you lose far too many lumens going to 8k. stick with 6k and under.

i like the stock hids on the 8 so im keeping those, im looking for some sort of projector headlight to get 6ks on the fc cause those stock lights suck ***

Might be a dumb question, but are the majority of you switching out the bulbs prematurely to get different colors or simply upgrading to HID lights from standard halogen?

I'm expecting (hoping) my stock HIDs last at least a few more years (05 model).

Ye the stock HIDs look GREAT . So if anything for me ... 5000 to 6000k would be good. However, in one of the pics posted, it was said that its 6000k and it looks more white than stock HID which is weird.

If I had to buy new headlights I would replace my 8000K with 6000K. The blue gets annoying after a while and does not put out much light

yup.. 6000k is the way to go. like mike said, 8000k is a bit ricey

I myself have a conversion kit on my car, so I just buy $20 bulbs because I want to see what the 6000K looks like. I think most of the other's in this thread also did a conversion.
