does anyone know where i can buy a replacement shift **** for an rx-8 online or if i can just go to the dealer and if they will give me one.

 

nope, each shift **** is specially designed for a spasifik car. If you loose/break yours then your in a world of hurt. I heard the cars doesnt even start if the serial number on the shift **** doesnt match your cars computer serial number.


Seriously, there are plenty of places that can get the OEM **** just open your eyes. THe dealer could get it as well but i am sure its pricey

yeah i've seen tons on ebay for like 25 bucks i even saw a carbon fiber one which was pretty nice but not my style!

And....."No", the dealer isn't going to give you one!

the silver top of my shift **** broke, my dealership replaced it under the b2b warranty.

i got rid of it 7k miles later. i sold it and at the same time bought a used mazdaspeed shift ****. i was without a shift **** for a few days (shipping) but man it was worth it.

Or get a relatively cheap upgrade and get the MS shift **** from there.
