Series II RX-8's, post up your mileage
2009 GT bought in February of this year. Currently 33K on the clock. When I bought it it had two issues the first was a studder in the wheel when turning left at slow speeds and the second was the low coolant light would intermittantly coming on. The first was fixed for free by Mazda as the car was sold under their Certified Used Car program. They replaced the power steering rack. The second I fixed by replacing the coolant tank with Mazda's new and improved design.
2010 R3 Bought it with 14,000 kms (8,700 miles) end of Sept. last year.
It now has 30,000 kms (18,650 miles)almost a year later.
It had a bad SSV solenoid that was replaced the month after I bought it. No complaints/problems since!

Im considering getting back into the rx8 game but looking at s2
looking at one with 92,000 miles and want to see if the s2 engine is reliable and saw this thread and didn't want to start a new one.
Who so far is a high mileage champ?

I would say about 100,000 miles is normal for the clutch and throw out bearing to need replacement. Unless you don't know how to drive a manual properly or abuse it. If I were buying one with close to 100k on it I would plan on replacing a few things soon like brake pads, brake rotors, clutch, etc.

I had a little over 147K miles on my series I before I sold it. Original engine and clutch and still running fine. My 2009 R3 just rolled over 69K this past weekend. It is also original engine and clutch. I did premix with my first one and have continued the habit on the R3.
My milage on 2004 lightning yellow is 360000 ks
So well serviced and looked after. I've had my dramas on the way through. Engine rebuild at 114000 caused by damage from the coils not firing the motor for example. Hittinhg a Kangaroo at 120 ks per hour and reshaping the car. As just a couple. Car runs brilliantly still. Serviced by rotomotion from just before the motor rebiild ; obviously specialists and I know this has made an incredible differenc
09 with 83k miles. No majors issues that weren't self inflicted or the result of a mod.
I did have to get my bose Amp fixed (used some UK guys on eBay) and replace the washer fluid pump.

I'm at 69,000 miles in my '09 R3. I've had the 5th and 6th gear synchros replaced under warranty. I want to get a compression test done since my warranty is coming up.
I'm working full time from home now. It makes me sad I don't get to drive it as much.
