Smile satisfaction with my RX8

I have owned my RX8 since March 09, previously driving a Mazda6.

There is no comparison, the RX8 is fantastic.

Power, handling, just fantastic.

Very Satisfied to date, 2005 GT Manual Sunlight Silver; 95K Kilometres = roughly 44K miles.
Nothing like filling up at a gas station and a brand new porche owner looks over at your car and then says "nice car"......he then kinda sadly shakes his head and comments "I used to have a 95' RX7, boy do I ever miss that car".....he longingly gazes back at my shiny RX8 and then back to his porche and sighs.
Kinda made me feel like I should go over and give him a hug.

I was looking for my first true sports car. I drove a Mustang GT and then drove the RX8. The 8 made me feel like I was part of the car and the car was part of me. Plus I love it when poeple ask me about my car and ask me to rev the engine.

TX Lemon?

I researched for over a year and finally bought my RX-8 Sept. 1, 2007. Since then, my RX-8 has been in the shop a total of 7 times. The first time was for a leak in the fuel system, 2nd was for another leak in the fuel system. Third time was for flooding, fourth time was for another fuel system leak, fifth time was for ignition coils, sixth time was for coolant level sensor, and the seventh time was for motor mounts. Has anyone else had this kind of experience? I LOVE my car

Bought the 40th Edition, June, 2009. The car had been sitting inside and on the lot for 9 months in MN.
She has 5,000 miles now and is perfect other than a tiny transmission case gasket leak..the bolts needed a 1/4 turn to seal..no other problems Handling is far better than my Vette, my Stealth twin turbo even with Eibachs and sway bar adjustable end-links on that AWD car. Hands down_ only a new M# or Audi S$ feels as good or slightly better for handling.

Because the 40th didn't have a sexy color, there were a lot of them laying around on Mazda lots down here in Texas. I waited until the dealer only had a couple left after having eight originally and then I made a ridiculous offer and they bit....got $8,000 off list and there car only had 22 miles on it. Hope you also got good deal. And the color has grown on me...rotor on....

Love my 09 GT.
Gas mileage doesn't bother me. I knew what I was getting into, when I bought it.
Not one issue with my car. Mind you, I've only had it one month. But the car sat in
the showroom for quite a while-build date was August 08.

Very satisfied with my '04 Sport. The only thing I hate is that I have so many things I want to do to it.........and no $$ to do so......at the moment.

Totally love the car so far but I've only had it since last Thursday (10/1). I've never had so much fun driving a car and it handles like butter. Took it out on some back roads around Hastings, MN over the weekend and couldn't believe how fun it was to hit a nice windy bend and lean into it at about 70mph (could have gone faster).

Anyway, got a smokin' deal on the car, $10,000 off list. It's a red 2009 GT with the 6 speed manual.

It's been a great education reading through this forum as I've never owned a rotary before (or any sports car for that matter) so I'm glad I found this place. I hope I can keep any issues with the car down to a minimum and I hope that using this forum to get me up to speed will help me avoid common mistakes!

I suppose my first move should be to buy snow tires!

Talking Satisfaction...

I am highly satisfied with my Rx8. I have had it for 12 days now and have put about 800 miles on it. I have found any and every reason to drive. Love the sound of the engine when hitting 9k rpms getting onto the freeway!

IE

I've had my 2004 RX-8 for nearly 2 years. It has just over 40,000 miles on the original engine and is going well. It's my 4th car since I started driving in 2004 and I must say I love it to bits.

Every other car I've had I've looked for reasons to get rid of it and get a new one. With the 8 I don't have to look for any reason to keep it. I just see the reason every time I even look at the car.

Any problems I've had with it I've been able to fix myself which I wanted because I'm learning more every time something goes wrong and the fact that I can fix these things myself means I have even more reason to hold onto the car.

RX8club.com has been a huge help to me over the past 2 years and I thank everyone on here for their help. Buying my 8 was probably the best move I've made in the past 10 years!

May we all enjoy it as it was made to be enjoyed

Good Bye good riddance

OMG.

10 months and finally calling uncle!
Worst car ever! No torque, rough ride and noisy!
No red light drags for this POS car.
God forbid that I try to merge into traffic, unless I put it on the calendar!
My Shinka 2006 was a huge disappointment.
My Honda S2000 was heads and shoulders superior! (Faster, more fun, sexier and everything else)

Everyone please enjoy the dream, because that is all it is!

Welcome home my Lexus IS350 the car that I deserve.

Rotary engines suck, and should be shelved!!!!!!!!!! Nice idea,, back in the 70's,,

BUUU BYE,,,

Yet Another moron who has a small Dick.......

All the worldwide motoring journalist (and owners) must be wrong, where the RX-8 has consistently been in the Top 3 for Handling and Overall performance as a "Drivers Car"....

No Lexus or S2000 came even close...

Having a bigger engine with MORE POWER won't make your little fella grow any bigger, straight line dick heads who have no Idea HOW to drive a car.....they only think they do.

See you at the stop light....still living with Mommy are we...

Sorry to bust your guys bubbles but the IS350 out handles the 8. Ash, they are of different classes so you can't compare the IS350 to a RX-8...

Damn fanbois...
