Then you have never seen an R3 front end in person.

 

I don't see how that matters, I can view a picture of both on here and see them just fine. There are not huge differences in looks IMO. Either way I would prefer a different bumper on there.

 

well the R3 bumper has the grill with chrome trim
also its lower and has front splitter built in.
overall a more aggressive look.

 

You mean the tiny bit of chrome right below the fog lights? I never said there is no difference at all, the differences are just not very big.

 

Prefer the stock looks of the R3 over the S1 I owned, even with the GT apperance kit.

That said, stock wheel design from both versions are ugly IMO.

 

Maybe you call me 8 fanatic but in my opinion fully tuned 8's are better look than Fd's Since 1991 Fd's are more potential with cosmetic parts that's why their face stay up to date. They are tuned more than 20 years.. Still have a new face but 90's designs never be old. Look Ferarri's, nsx etc etc

I like knightsports fully tuned 8 lookimg. it is more aggressive than Fd's i think In time if specialist tuned more 8's then we will see beauties

 

If there are any S2 owners who would prefer an S1 front end, pm me. Lets work out a swap.

I like the look of the S1 front end over the S2, but it grows on you.

I just took my chrome bars off and painted them. Easy $5 paint fix.

Like the LEDs. Any closeups on how they look?

Yep, defiantly too much chrome in those headlights.
The R3 would look bad *** with s1 headlights. MHO

 

Ditto. Just hate to pull the headlights apart to black out the chrome. Resealing any headlights rarely works well.

 

i dont necc. think ugly...just different looking. just like the s1 3's and mazda 5's

the first gens look simpler and cleaner, the next ones look a little more overstyled and busy

Also, I want to dobalck out all the chrome on the R3 - emblems in front and back as well as the sidemarkers and chrome strip you took care of.

 

The LEDs are Philips DRL LED kit. I got mine from an Ebay auction a little bit cheaper than Amazon. They go for $170-$200 for the set.

 

To me, the original design of the car is the best. Any aftermarket body kits, changes etc are garbage. The S1 with appearance package is the best looking for me.

I hope this thread starter is still a teen. I REALLY hope that the lack of forethought is due to immaturity and that this is not someone grown into this level of dumb.

I never say condescending things online but I could not believe the thread title. Who starts threads with the intention of pissing people off? Just amazing.

I am hopeful though that time will bring wisdom and this kid will learn some social skills.

My personal opinion: All series of RX-8 look good.
